Almightree: The Last Dreamer is a 3D puzzle game developed by Crescent Moon. Inspired by the Legend of Zelda series, the game world is so fantasy. Players can download it on Google Play, priced at $1.99
The game is in a world literally falling apart. Players take the role of the Last Dreamer, and players can put a stop to it. After a dream vision in which the Almightree tasks players in reviving its saplings (which can then prevent the world around the saplings from being destroyed) players are sent on a race against time to revive the saplings, prevent the world around players from falling, and move ever closer to awakening the world-saving Almightree. Throughout the game players will encounter snippets of photos that provide some vague hints into the game world but otherwise, this is the story that’s told.
The action of Almightree plays out in a standard puzzle/platformer style. As the main character continues to move forward, he encounters obstacles that are too tall to surmount. This is where the player steps in using the touch screen controls, with a pair of taps to select one cube on the grid and then choose a location to move that cube. Given that the on-screen avatar can climb up one cube in height, the idea is to use the environment to build a path towards the exit.
